The elite swinger

How do you become an equilibrist? How do you achieve the finest of skills within a given discipline?

Basic principles and practical skills, but they are only the minimal requirements to enter a field. The equilibrist masters a detailed vocabulary and is able to intellectualise over a theme. To infer new knowledge from what is already known.

He was about to commence field studies. He could be considered as an awkward ethnologist, a seemingly dull personage interested in the mating process between habitants in a society within the society. The mating process between men and women with little prior knowledge about each other, squeezed together all naked in dim surroundings with only small space for physical movements.

The criteria for success is rather clear. The Darwinist rules of natural selection, the survival of the fittest certainly apply. At least that was his starting hypothesis. Apart from that he had almost no ideas about the mechanisms involved under such circumstances.

His interest came from a strong attraction towards this special way of getting sexual satisfaction. The woman was the target of his fascination. The mere idea, that an ordinary wife, a mother, a shy girl would engage in such unrestrained adult activity filled him with excitement.

His first knowledge about the swinger community was collected from a documentary TV program broadcasted by the national public TV-channel. The family had late dinner, the kids were still at the table, when the program almost without anybody noticing was  switched to a documentary feature presenting one of the oldest swingers clubs in Copenhagen. While his wife was doing the dishes and the children were playing with Star War figures his attention was caught by the program.

A good looking woman in her late thirties explained how she often frequented the club. She went with her husband and it was their way of getting new excitement into their sexlife. She was nicely dressed during the interview but occasionally cuts were made showing her in action in the club.  No genitals were revealed but her naked skin and her blurred body surrounded by what could only be interpreted as a group of naked men, was flashed in a second on the screen. The focus was then back on the nice woman sitting completely dressed and answering questions about these activities.

That very moment he felt a deep hunger after experiencing something similar. No inhibitions, no clothes to shield the naked body, only pure excitement and uninhibited lust. He wanted to explore this world and become an important player in the swinger community.

How on earth was he to achieve that? He knew that no power on earth would be able to persuade his wife to join him on this crusade. Although he was in fact a quite attractive man, he was also relatively shy. He did, however, posses a strong sex drive and a strong desire to explore his own sexuality.  Most importantly he was a determined person once an idea caught him. He had academic training and with that he knew how to approach a new intellectual challenge. An intellectual challenge was in the end exactly what I boiled down to.

Nudity, adultery – maybe, but first of all it was an intellectual challenge which could be attacked by an organised scientific approach.
